A NIKE COMMERCIAL SHOT AT FRIENDLY HILLS ELEMENTARY YESTERDAY

It was certainly no ordinary Wednesday at Friendly Hills Elementary School yesterday. The tranquil quiet of the still playground was replaced by the swarm of activity that comes with the production of a Nike commercial featuring NBA Star LeBron James. While James was not at the filming, he will be the star of the commercial. Dozens of child actors with their families cheering them on took to the courts to shoot footage for the commercial set to be released later this month. Morongo Unified School Superintendent Tom Baumgarten said the location had been selected because of the pristine beauty of the desert setting of the school. Dozens of tractor-trailers and equipment transformed the school’s Basketball Court into a live Hollywood set. Friendly Hills Principal Jennifer Sands accepted a donation for $2,500 from the Production Company.
