62-YEAR-OLD JOSHUA TREE MAN ACCUSED OF DRUG DEALING

A 62-year-old Joshua Tree man was arrested late Tuesday night, accused of selling drugs. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was called to a gas station in the 56800 block of 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley just before midnight because a man was passed out in his older BMW. The deputy contacted Robert Lotte in the driver’s seat. Lotte had an active warrant for his arrest for possession of a controlled substance for sales. During a search of Lotte and his vehicle, the deputy found a clear baggy of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and cash. Robert Lotte was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sales, and for driving on a suspended license, and on his warrant, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $125,000.
