Park officials announced that 49 Palms Oasis Trail will be closed from sunset today, (Tuesday, September 25,) until noon Thursday, (September 27.) Aerial search operations by helicopter will be active in the area as a continuation of the Miller search. Canadian citizen Paul Miller, was last seen July 14 headed to the 49 Palms Oasis trail. His rental vehicle was found in the parking lot of the trailhead however an extensive search of the area failed to locate him or any sign. Park staff and volunteers continue to search for Miller. Anyone having any information about Paul Miller should call 760 367-5507.
