34-YEAR-OLD WONDER VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF MOLESTING CHILD UNDER 10

 A Wonder Valley man was arrested on warrants Wednesday morning, accused of child molestation and intimidating a witness. According to Sheriff’s reports, on December 28, 2015, the parents of a young girl reported that they just discovered that a family friend, later identified as Nicholas Buskirk, 34, had sexually molested their daughter. After an investigation, deputies went to the 81400 block of Amboy Road in Wonder Valley about 10 a.m. Wednesday with two arrest warrants for Buskirk for molestation of a child under 10 years of age, with special allegations of prior felonies, and attempting to dissuade a witness. His bail for those charges is $500,000. Buskirk attempted to flee, and was tased by deputies. Buskirk was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail for violating the terms of his parole.
