3.3 EARTHQUAKE THIS MORNING CENTERED IN MORONGO VALLEY

A minor earthquake occurred at 6:06 a.m. this morning. The U.S. Geological Survey says the the magnitude 3.3 event occurred five miles west-northwest of Morongo Valley at a depth of six miles. The quake was 14 miles west-southwest of Yucca Valley. It was felt widely in the region and as far away as Banning. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
