All veterans and all people with disabilities are welcome and accommodated at the Third Annual Air Rifle Competition, October 7, at 7:30 a.m. Sign up starts at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. The competition begins at 9 a.m. To enter call Mike Smith at 760-364-2027 or email him at mpaulussmith@aol.com. You may also call Allen Pagdillo at 760-830-4131. The entry deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, September 15, for those without base access. Those with access to the base are good to go. There will be no alcohol at this family friendly event. Hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and waters will be supplied.

TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF ’67 PLANS 50TH REUNION

Twentynine Palms High School Class of ’67 is inviting ALL Wildcats to join in their 50th class reunion. The reunion is set for Friday and Saturday, September 22 and 23, at Desert Princess Resort in Cathedral City. Tickets are $70 each and includes a pizza party Friday; dinner and dancing Saturday, with music provided by 007 and the Souls, and a raffle. The deadline for reservations is September 7. The Yucca Valley Youth Commission is made up of students in grades 7 through 12 who attend school in Yucca Valley. Youth commissioners produce informative video programs, present forums to local schools, and volunteer at community events. Commissioners meet the first Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Applications are available at the Yucca Valley Community Center or online at www.yucca-valley.org. The deadline to apply is October 2.
